TO CONVERT YOUR STB FROM COAX TO CAT5E - You will need to run a cat 5e cable from the RG Unit to your set-top box terminating with RJ45 Male Jacks. Utilize pins 1,2,3,6 for ethernet (tv and internet). Pins 1&2 taking one pair, pins 3&6 taking the other pair. The other wires in the cat-5e cable can be utilized by building a breakout box at the hub end and proper termination at the room end. I will include a diagram of a typical breakout box later.... |
